Voter REGISTRATION

(if your name is not presently on the posted registration list)

According to the By-Laws, anyone who intends to exercise their right to vote is required to register with the appointed Registrar.

All that is required to register is to sign your name and date and give it to the Registrar. The Registration ends two (2) Sundays prior to the scheduled business meeting; and at that time the Board of Elders reviews the Registration and privately challenges anyone they believe does not meet the voting membership.

An individual must re-register only if he/she has not voted in any election in the previous year. Each registrant's name will remain on the list of approved voting members if he/she has participated in any church business meeting in the previous year. Voting by absentee ballot constitutes participation.

Absentee Ballots are available to any member is he/she is not able to attend the meeting because of business, vacation or obvious disability. Providing the eligible voting member has registered according to the above paragraph, the Registrar shall provide an absentee ballot. The person voting by absentee ballot is responsible for returning his/her ballot to the Registrar before the start of the meeting.
